The hotel is located within a short walk to the ancient villages of Sappada and very close to the chairlifts Sappada Duemila and Pian dei Nidi.
To reach the Nordic skiing trail you just have to cross the road, while the shuttle bus that links all the ski facilities of Sappada and the snow park of Nevelandia, stops right outside the hotel.
In the Summer, the green meadows and the forests are simply at hand, but our guests can find peace and tranquility even in the large garden, equipped with games for children and the sun terrace.

Or inside the hotel, in the bright living room with a reading area and the TV room, in the cozy “stube” heated by wood-burning stove or in the wellness center with sauna, turkish bath and whirlpool.
The hotel also has a car park and a place to store skis and bikes.
A bit of history
The Hotel Corona Ferrea welcomes the guests of Sappada as early as the 20s.
After the war the business has moved to a new building, located near the original one, which in later years has been expanded and modernized to meet the growing needs of the modern tourism.
The name recalls the ancient and precious Iron Crown that was used from the Middle Ages until the nineteenth century for the coronation of the King of Italy.
For a long time, the emperors of the Holy Roman Empire received this coronation.
A circular plate of metal is embedded inside the crown. The tradition says that it was forged with the iron of one of the nails that were used for the crucifixion of Jesus. That is why the crown is revered as a relic, and it is kept in the Monza cathedral inside the Chapel of Teodolinda
